Omar Abdullah files nomination papers from Ganderbal assembly segment
Offers Fatiha at Qaid Mazar, pays obeisance at Dargha Hazrat bal
Srinagar, 04 Sept: The Vice President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Omar Abdullah, who is the party’s candidate for Ganderbal, submitted his nomination papers in DC office Ganderbal.
Earlier in the day, he paid his respects at the tomb of Sher-e-Kashmir and Madr-e-Meharban at Qaid Mazar Naseem Bagh. He also paid obeisance at the revered Asar-e-Sharief Dargah Hazratbal. He was accompanied by Treasurer Shammi Oberoi.
Upon his arrival in Ganderbal, the party’s local unit functionaries and office bearers warmly welcomed the Vice President. Following the submission of his nomination papers, Omar Abdullah addressed party workers at the district headquarters in Ganderbal.
Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, along with senior leaders Ghulam Nabi Rather, Sheikh Gayas Ud din, and Youth leader Sayim Mustafa, and Mushtaq Mir were present at the occasion.
During his speech, the Vice President urged party members to spread the vision outlined in the party manifesto to every household in the constituency.
Earlier, Omar Abdullah accompanied Zadibal constituency candidate Tanvir Sadiq as he submitted his nomination papers at the DC office in Srinagar.
Party functionaries Ali Muhammad Sagar, Shameema Firdous, Salman Ali Sagar, Mushtaq Guroo, and Ahsan Pardesi also filed their nomination papers today.
