The honourable Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sopore Constituency, Irshad Rasool Kar, today visited Sopore Hospital to assess the available healthcare facilities.

During his visit, the MLA took stock of the medical care facilities and the availability of essential services for patients. He inspected the ICU, emergency wards, and other units of the hospital to gather a first-hand appraisal of their cleanliness and the services provided.

Engaging with the Block Medical Officer (BMO) and other staff, the MLA emphasized the importance of quality healthcare, particularly in the hospital's emergency wards.

“This hospital receives a large number of patients, and its central location serves a vast area; therefore, we need to have facilities and resources available to address the needs of patients effectively,” he stated.

During the interaction, the MLA reiterated, “The development of the health sector is not only my top priority but also that of our National Conference government. We will not tolerate any compromise in providing better healthcare."

The honourable Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Sopore Constituency, Irshad Rasool Kar visited the water supply scheme in the surrounding areas of Sopore on Saturday. He emphasized the need to prioritize coverage so that no household is deprived of drinking water.

During the visit, the MLA directed the concerned departments to give priority to the remaining areas not included under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), ensuring that residents do not encounter any issues in the future.

MLA Kar was accompanied by officials from the Jal Shakti and Mechanical Divisions of Sopore during the visit.
He also stated that not only should there be access to water, but no individual in the Sopore constituency should be deprived of other basic facilities as well. His National Conference government, under the leadership of Omar Abdullah, is committed to reaching out to the masses, sharing in their pain and suffering, and playing an important role in highlighting their issues.
