Omar Abdullah addresses party workers in Ganderbal
Says “party manifesto reflects the aspirations of the people and serves as a roadmap to fulfill them”
Srinagar, 29 Aug: The Vice President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Omar Abdullah urged party members on Thursday to prepare for the upcoming elections and ensure that the party’s vision and mission, as outlined in the manifesto, reach every household.
He said this while addressing party workers, functionaries, and office bearers at the party’s district headquarters in Ganderbal. Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Chairman election committee Ganderbal Sheikh Ghayas Ud din, District President Ganderbal Ghulam Nabi Rather, Media In Charge Ganderbal Constituency Sayim Mustafa, YNC District President Sheikh Gowhar, Central Zone President YNC Mushtaq Mir, YNC, Parent body and other office bearers were present on the occasion.
Addressing the workers, Omar urged them to strive diligently to ensure that the party’s vision and mission reach every doorstep. He emphasized that the party manifesto reflects the aspirations of the people and serves as a roadmap to fulfill them.
Reflecting on his deep connection with the constituency, Omar spoke of the bond he has nurtured with the people of Ganderbal, a bond that was established by his grandfather Sher-e-Kashmir and father Dr. Farooq Sahib over decades. He shared, “I began my career in Ganderbal, and I see people here now with grey hairs just like mine. When we first started working together two decades ago, we were all young. It is the unwavering love of the people of Ganderbal that has brought me back here.”
Omar made it clear that his dedication to serving the people is not mere rhetoric, stating, “I do not make empty promises. The people of Beerwah can attest to how diligently I worked for them during my time as their MLA.”
