JKNC leader and district president of Ramban, Mr. Sajjad Shaheen, has expressed deep sorrow and condemnation over the tragic loss of a precious life due to the denial of timely ambulance service by the management of Sub-district Hospital Banihal. The incident, resulting in the death of Roshan Din Lone, son of Gulam Hassan Lone from Dardahi, has sparked outrage and led to a strong demonstration calling for Stern action against the Hospital management for refusing the Ambulance to a patient who suffered a cardiac arrest at Mahoo village. The protesting relatives said that his life could have saved had he been provided timely ambulance to reach hospital.
Shaheen emphasized the unacceptable nature of such negligence, highlighting the critical need for accountability and reform within the healthcare system. “It is utterly unacceptable that such negligence led to a preventable tragedy,” he stated.
Shaheen urged the local and district administration to promptly launch a thorough investigation into the incident and ensure that those responsible are held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
He stressed the importance of ensuring that every individual has access to timely medical assistance, without fail.
Shaheen has expressed his heart felt condolences to the family and loved ones of Roshan Din Lone and has prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
He has also demanded ex-gratia financial relief to the next of kin of the deceased.
