J&K admin deaf to people’s problems: Sagar
Meets workers delegation from Kulgam at Party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha
Srinagar, Aug 21: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar lamented the incumbent government for plunging the people of J&K into an unfathomable abyss of misery and despondency.
Interacting with the party workers and visiting delegations here at the party headquarters, Sagar lamented that the present Government has failed to address the political and developmental aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Among others Addl General secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, MP Anantnag Mian Altaf Ahmad, State Spokesperson & I/C Kulgam Imran Nabi Dar were present on the occassion.
He said that the lack of representative character of the incumbent dispensation has compounded miseries of people of J&K.
He said the BJP government rather than engaging with aggrieved people with an aim to address their issues has chosen to tread the path of isolating them and denying them the fruits of democracy, enjoyed by their co-countrymen in the other regions of the country.
Sagar asserted that “disenchantment among the people has reached an epic level, so has the anti-incumbency against this present unrelated & undemocratic regime”.
He exhorted the party cadre to remain present among the people and make them aware of the key achievements of the successive popular governments led by Sheikh Sahib, Dr. Farooq Sb, and Omar Sb. He further asked them to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Pointing towards the increasing gulf between the administration and the people, Sagar said, “Having public representatives in the policy-making bodies makes the policies more attuned to the concerns of the public. In J&K it’s the other way round, the locals have no say in the administration making it deaf to all their concerns.”
