Former senior BJP leader and Pahari in-charge from Chittak Poonch, Shahzad Ahmed Khan, along with dozens of his workers and several sarpanchs, joined the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) in the presence of party president Dr. Farooq Abdullah. The group also met with JKNC VP Omar Abdullah, with both leaders extending a warm welcome to them. Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah expressed their hopes that this joining would work toward the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as strengthen the leadership and presence of the National Conference in the region. Additional General Secretary Mustafa Kamal was also present at the occasion, further emphasizing the significance of this political move.
