Dr. Farooq seeks elaborate arrangements on Urs of Mian Nizam ud din Kiyanvi (RA) at Baba Nagri Wangat

Srinagar, 01 Jun: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of the Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Saturday impressed upon the divisional administration to  ensure all necessary arrangements for devotees visiting Baba Nagri wangat in Ganderbal for the annual annual Urs of Hazrat Mian Nizam ud din Kiyanvi (RA).

Dr. Farooq asked the divisional administration to make elaborate arrangements at Baba Nagri for  pilgrims coming from all across J&K and other parts of the country to attend the annual Urs. “The divisional commissioner should issue directives to all line departments to ensure  proper drinking water and electricity, toilet facilities around the shrine. Facilitation counters and transport facilities should also be set by the concerned departments in Jammu, Udhampur, Poonch, Rajouri, Shopian, and Anantnag for the hassle free travel of passengers. Amenities in terms of camps for lodging & refreshments including water, medicines, ambulances, medical facilities, local shopping facilities, transport  information centre, bus parking and transport facility should be made available to the visiting devotees.”

He also impressed upon different government departments and Shrine management to work in tandem to rise to the occasion.
