Addresses election rallies in Pulwama, ShopianAsks people to unite in their efforts to trounce BJP democratically on poll day Srinagar, 06 May: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Monday addressed series of election rallies in Pulwama and Shopian.
The conventions were convened and organised by In Charge Constituency Pulwama Muhammad Khalil Bandh and In Charge constituency Shopian Sheikh Mohammad Rafi respectively. Among others party leaders Dr Sameer Kaul, Ghulam Mohiudin Mir, Showkat Hussain Ganai, Mukhtar Bandh and Shabir Kullay were also present.
Addressing workers, Dr. Farooq said that NC is fighting a big battle and can only win if we keep our eyes and mind open. “We have to remain extra cautious while casting our vote. There are forces who do not want representative voices to reach the Parliament. They want Delhi’s representatives to reach the Lok Sabha, but we all want our representatives to reach there. To ensure our real representative voice reaches Lok Sabha ,we have to unite in our efforts and give a resounding mandate to our candidate Aga Ruhullah Mehdi.”
Calling BJP a lie machine, Dr Farooq said that their lies are falling flat and people are asking them questions on employment, development and progress. “Their progress report is blank. You cannot feed the people with communal sentiments indefinitely. Our youth want jobs, our elderly want better health care, our mothers and sisters want better services. People are fed up of BJP and are ready to teach them a lesson in the polls. Udhampur, Jammu have spoken in one voice and rejected BJP. Now it’s the time for the people of Kashmir to answer in one voice against BJP proxies and minions here,” he said adding BJP has developed cold feet and has opted out of the race sensing an imminent drubbing at the hands of National Conference.
“INDIA bloc will win all six Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. BJP is hiding behind its proxies but that won’t work. I am happy to see your enthusiasm and that’s the reason other party leaders have developed cold feet,” he said.
Dr Farooq further claimed that BJP has failed to win hearts in Kashmir. “Decisions made in 2019 have angered and alienated people in the valley,” he said.
