Imran Nabi Dar Seeks strict and decisive action against perpetrator, calls for unity in face of such bigotry, intolerance
Srinagar, 05 Oct: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Saturday vehemently denounced rightwing Hindu extremist Yati Narsinghanand’s derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the Holy Quran.
In his unequivocal condemnation of the blasphemous remarks, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar stated that “they have deeply wounded the sentiments of Muslims both in India and around the world.”
He emphasized that such derogatory comments not only tarnish India’s reputation for religious harmony and tolerance but also have the potential to incite communal tensions.
Imran called for the immediate arrest and accountability of the individual/organisation responsible for making the inflammatory remarks. He stressed that it is the government’s duty to ensure that such people who seek to sow discord and division are swiftly brought to justice.
Imran expressed hope that strict and decisive action will be taken against the perpetrator to send a clear message that such behavior will not be tolerated.
He implored the people to remain calm and not allow such bigots to shatter the peace and unity within the society. “Let us stand strong together and refuse to let hatred and division prevail. We urge for unity and respect among all faiths, and call for an end to such divisive rhetoric that only serves to divide us further. Let us stand together in the face of such intolerance and bigotry, and strive for a world where all beliefs are respected and cherished.”
