Dr Farooq visits Ganderbal, offers condolences on demise of religious scholar
Srinagar, 07 Apr: The Jammu and kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah Sunday visited Reshipora, Ganderbal to commiserate with the bereaved family of the former cleric Jamia Qamar Shah Sahib & founding member of Minhaj-ul-Quran International India (Kashmir) Jenab Sofi Abdul Rehman sahib, who had breathed his last the other day.
Joined in by the party’s local unit functionaries, he offered fatiha for the departed soul & prayed for fortitude to the grief stricken family.
It is pertinent to mention that the deceased had a long term association with Dr Farooq who recollected the services Late Sofi sb has rendered in the way of spreading Islam.
On the condolence visit, Dr Farooq was accompanied by the party’s provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, District President Ganderbal GN Rather, Ganderbal Incharge Sheikh Gayasudin and local party functionaries.
